Phenibut or Piracetam

November 29th, 2020

If you are unable to concentrate or have trouble focusing, you are probably wondering how to help yourself. You may encounter such problems also when you just feel sick and dull. There are many different tips on various websites to help you stay focused. Unfortunately, such home remedies do not work for everyone. Therefore, many people need to support themselves with dietary supplements to be able to keep their attention for longer. Thanks to this, they will finally be able to learn or perform other duties that require concentration and attention. There are two very similar products on the market – Phenibut and Piracetam. Both Phenibut and Piracetam affect your brain and nervous system. However, these two products are slightly different. How? And which of these specifics is more suitable for you?

Piracetam – what it is, how it works

Piracetam is a nootropic agent with cognitive enhancement properties. Thanks to it, the cerebral cortex is protected against the lack of oxygen, to ensure its proper functioning. Piracetam is a derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). In medicine, it is administered to people with cognitive disorders with dementia syndrome (except for Alzheimer’s disease), to those with myoclonus of cortical origin, children with speech therapy defects and dyslexic disorders, as well as people with vertigo and peripheral origin. It is worth knowing that it is a product that is considered the “father” of all racetams.

And how exactly does piracetam work? First of all, after taking it, the use of oxygen and glucose in the brain increases. Compared to Phenibut, the daily doses needed are higher – nevertheless, be aware that Piracetam is not addictive.

Phenibut – what it is, how it works

Phenibut, just like Piracetam, is a derivative of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is primarily responsible for inhibitory or calming actions. Phenibut also has a phenyl ring, so – compared to GABA alone – it is able to give better results with lower doses. This is possible due to the fact that it better penetrates the blood-brain barrier, so the signal is delivered faster to the nervous system. It is worth knowing that such signals control basically every process in the human body. It should also be emphasized that Phenibut makes it easier to fall asleep and gives a lot of support for people suffering from addictions. However, you need to remember not to exceed the doses recommended by the manufacturer.

Differences between Piracetam and Phenibut

The first and most striking difference between Piracetam and Phenibut is the dosage. Piracetam is a product whose daily dosage is slightly higher compared to Phenibut. However, this does not mean that Piracetam is dangerous to your health or addictive. It’s just the opposite – Piracetam helps in fighting addictions.

The second difference between Piracetam and Phenibut is also the testing of these two substances. Piracetam is a fully tested, medically approved agent for treating certain diseases. In turn, Phenibut has not been fully tested yet – yes, there were tests on animals and volunteers, but you should be aware that this product is still in the testing phase.

It is also worth knowing that although these two products are so similar in terms of their structure and ingredients, Phenibut is able to help people with insomnia fall asleep, and Piracetam (if taken too late in the evening) can cause problems falling asleep, which you have to keep that in mind.

Which products suit you best?

If you are wondering which of these specifics would be a better choice for you, we want to emphasize that the first principle – no matter what you choose – is always to choose products of good, top brands. Then you can be sure that the quality of the product you take is very high and that it has a genuinely reliable composition.

Therefore, we recommend the products from the Koka labz brand, which has been producing various products for many years, including Phenibut and Piracetam. You can purchase them here, for example: Piracetam – https://www.crossthelimits.co.uk/product/5719/, Phenibut – https://www.crossthelimits.co.uk/product/phenibut-200mg/.

Why has the USA banned SARMs?

November 29th, 2020

SARMs are chemical substances that are dedicated to bodybuilders and sports enthusiasts both when they are on reduction and when they care about weight. For a while, they were freely available all over the world. They were invented in the 1990s by James T. Dalton, who was a researcher looking for a cure for prostate cancer. Admittedly, he failed to reach his goal – but instead, he invented something that can be successfully used in sports or bodybuilding. You should know that, at the very beginning of tests on SARMs, they gave really solid results in muscle tissue growth. Most people know that they are perfect alternatives to anabolics because they are much safer to use. Nevertheless, what is most controversial about them is that they have been banned in the United States… but are still legal in Europe and elsewhere in the world.

Banning SARMs in the US

SARMs were banned in the US on November 19, 2019, with the introduction of the SARMs Control Act, which classified SARMs as anabolic steroid-like products.

Many Americans from the sports and bodybuilding industry are convinced that the SARMs Control Act was introduced to make money of SARMs. Until now, you did not need a prescription to buy these products; however, probably American pharmaceutical companies will want to use SARMs in the production of drugs for osteoporosis or muscle loss related to cancer. And, as you know, the pharmaceutical industry brings much more income to the budget of countries (especially large ones like the United States) than the sports or bodybuilding industry.

The biggest argument in the US that works in favour of banning SARMs is their hepatotoxicity. However, this accusation is not entirely true, because unlike anabolic steroids (to which the US government compared SARMs), they do not adversely affect the liver, kidneys or digestive system. However, there are many indications that they do have side effects such as androgenetic alopecia, water retention, acne, gastric problems or arterial hypertension – but there is probably no drug for muscle growth that does not cause any side effects. They can only be minimized or changed to something else.

In addition, there are many indications that some people in the US died while using SARMs. However, it should be taken into account that in these few cases, people used also other supplements and products in addition to SARMs.

Are SARMs still available in Europe?

Both in the UK and in the rest of European countries, SARM products are legal and available for purchase. However, there are many products of this type on the market and you must be aware to choose the ones from safe sources. Scientists, while examining such products available on the market, proved that as many as 48% of them did not even include SARMs! And even worse, as much as 39% of them included some illegal substances, 9% of them did not have any active ingredients at all, and 59% had other doses of active substances than suggested by the manufacturer.

So, if you are from Europe, including the UK, and you have found a safe and reliable product to buy – good for you. You don’t need to worry about it being quickly withdrawn from the market. However, if you are just starting your adventure with SARMs, be careful to read the descriptions and recommendations very carefully and choose wisely the products you want to buy.

However, you must also remember that starting with 2020, China, which is the largest exporter of SARM products, will no longer export them abroad – so it is worth choosing products of European origin so that they do not disappear from the market.

Examples of reliable SARMs available in the UK

When it comes to companies whose SARM products are available in the UK, two brands definitely stand out: Koka Labz and Fantazy Illusion. Among the highly recommended SARMs, there are such products as Ibuta MK-677, Nuclear Warhead 4 SARM Stack, Cardarine GW-501516 and Testolone RAD-140 – and many others. The great advantage of these products is that they are very well described, so you can be sure what you take and what effects you may expect, so it’s easier for you to avoid any unforeseen consequences that could have occurred if you obtained SARMs from an uncertain source.

Supplements for reduction. Faster fat loss

November 20th, 2020

Supplements are substances that provide your body with additional substances it may need during periods of increased physical activity or a caloric deficit. The second case occurs for example during a reduction diet – when we want to get rid of fat tissue, supplements can help us increase muscle mass. It is possible only with a combination of the right diet and an individually designed training plan. Supplements support the entire process and at the same time help you keep your body in good condition. What supplement should you take if your goal is to reduce and lose body fat?

Fat burners – thermogenic

Revange Thermal pro v4

Oxy elite Pro

Aspire Zoom Elite

Double Yohimbine

People who are on a weight reduction diet more and more often think about thermogenic. They are commonly known as fat burners – this name suggests that they are supposed to accelerate the entire process of fat loss. Thermogenics increase the thermogenesis of your body. Their goal is also to suppress the appetite and replenish the energy that the body needs during training, but also during the day in the time of increased effort. Thermogenics affect the sympathetic nervous system. It is responsible for the heartbeat, the breathing process, the speed of digestion, but also sweating. These are supplements that stimulate the human nervous system. They cause a reaction similar to the one in stressful situations. As a result, your body begins to release more adrenaline and norepinephrine. These are substances that affect the accelerated metabolism and increase body temperature. As a consequence, the fat burning process is faster and more effective. Among thermogenic we can find for example such natural substances as green tea extract and caffeine.

Protein supplement for people with an increased demand for proteins

When we hear about protein supplements, we tend to immediately think of the process of building mass, not of weight reduction. Protein is the most important building block of our muscles, which is why we need it to achieve a better body structure. However, we must be aware that the demand for protein increases together with the intensity of exercise. When our workouts are more frequent and more demanding, we need to provide our bodies with more protein. For endurance sports, 1.2-1.4 g of protein per kg of bodyweight should be consumed, and for strength training – 1.8-2 g per kg of body weight. According to some scientific studies, the need for proteins may be even greater when we work on reducing body fat. By consuming them in the right amount, we increase the chance of losing fat – it is then replaced by muscle tissue, which results in a slimmer body build. The results of our training and diet can be noticed much faster. Remember that fat reduction does not always mean a significant weight loss, as muscles are heavier than fat, but they make the figure slimmer and more attractive.

Creatine – to support the body on a negative caloric balanced diet

This is another supplement that we associate with people who building mass. However, creatine is designed to support your body during periods of intense training. The body is then weakened and, without an additional source of energy, it is not able to function properly. In addition, the regeneration process is difficult and takes more time. You will not have enough strength and energy to maintain frequent workouts. Creatine is a source of energy that helps fight such weakness caused by a negative caloric balance. Creatine stimulates the renewal of ATP molecules, which are energy carriers in the human body. Its proper supply results in increased exercise capacity. As a consequence, your body regenerates faster, you have more strength and energy, and the efficiency of your workouts improves.

Caffeine – to motivate you to exercise

The influence of caffeine on the human body with increased physical activity has been often discussed lately. Scientists analyzed the idea of coffee consumption by athletes and its positive support for the entire training process. Caffeine inhibits the action of adenosine receptors and the mobilization of calcium ions inside cells – and these two processes are a signal of cell fatigue that makes you feel worse. Caffeine has a significant effect on the human nervous system. It stimulates us, provides us with energy, supports thought processes and motivates us to act. It also delays fatigue, so we can exercise longer and more intensively. It is also important for the effectiveness of resistance training, increasing your strength and general exercise capacity. Caffeine stimulates us to work and accelerates the processes of fat burning. It is found in natural products – in coffee, of course, but also in tea and cocoa, i.e. chocolate. Athletes and sportsmen often decide to take it in capsules as a supplement.

Vitamins – to supplement deficiencies

A weight reduction diet results in a caloric deficit – it means that we eat less and thus provide our body with an insufficient amount of nutrients, vitamins and minerals. It may cause health problems and negatively affect the functioning of our bodies. People on reduction should therefore support themselves with an appropriate vitamin complex. They need vitamins A and E, i.e. strong antioxidants that protect the body against the destructive effects of free radicals. The process of regeneration of connective tissue, which builds tendons and joints, is greatly influenced by vitamin C, known primarily as the immunity vitamin. During periods of intense training, the body has also a greater need for omega-3 fatty acids. They support the process of fat loss by inhibiting the gene responsible for its deposition. Besides, the increased supply of omega-3 fatty acids supports the suppression of appetite.

The process of reducing body fat cannot be rapid. It is possible to accelerate it, but we need to make sure that we don’t go beyond the point where it is safe for our health and body. Appropriate supplements can help you with a caloric deficit, increased physical intensity, nutrient deficiencies, especially during periods of intense workouts. Looking for recommended supplements with the above-mentioned substances and effects, you should definitely take a look at:

Isolate, concentrate or hydrolyzate? Which protein supplement should you choose?

Isolate, concentrate or hydrolyzate? Which protein supplement should you choose?

Protein supplements are the basic and most frequently used supplements for people who regularly train at the gym, as well as those who take up other sports. It allows you to supplement the protein in the diet; if you’re physically active, the demand for them is much bigger. We can distinguish several forms of protein powder, differing mainly in their time of absorption and ingredients – the content of protein, fat and carbohydrates, as well as lactose. Which protein supplement is the best for you?

Protein supplement for people with an increased demand for protein

We provide protein to our bodies with food. Its primary sources are dairy and lean meat. High content (27g of protein) can be found in skyr – natural yogurt (in 225g of the product), lean curd cheese (in 160g of the product), and also chicken breast (in 130g of the product). A portion of protein supplement corresponds to the same protein content, usually 23-27 g. so it should be used additionally only by people with increased physical activity, especially those who train intensively at least 4-5 times a week. People on a reduction diet have a high demand for protein, because it protects against the loss of muscle tissue. People who build muscle mass also need it more, because it is the basic building block of muscles.

Protein supplements should be treated as a supplement to a wholesome or high-protein diet, and not as a substitute for basic protein sources. Its form should always be adjusted to the point of the day when we consume it, as well as to the effect we want to achieve.

A universal isolate

The protein isolate is marked with the WPI symbol, followed by a number, e.g. WPI90, informing about the protein content in the dry matter of the product. Protein isolates are made using a cross-flow microfiltration process. This enables better separation of carbohydrates and a higher protein content (90g per 100g of protein powder), higher than in a protein concentrate, but lower than in a hydrolyzate. The protein isolate has also very good solubility. In contrast to the concentrate, it contains less sugar and fat, so it may have a slightly worse taste, but the taste is not the main factor when choosing the appropriate form of protein supplement. What’s much more important is the absorption time. The isolate is absorbed relatively quickly, so it should be consumed immediately after training. It is worth taking the conditioner with you to the gym or preparing it right after returning home from outdoor training.

The hydrolysate has the fastest absorption

Whey protein hydrolysate, i.e. WPH, is considered to be the highest quality protein supplement, which results in its slightly higher price. It is produced in the process of hydrolysis of whey protein concentrate or isolate in the water environment. The connections between individual amino acids and peptides that make up the protein are then broken. This causes the hydrolysate to be absorbed very quickly in the digestive tract and, therefore, as in the case of the isolate, it should be used immediately after training. However, during the hydrolysis process, peptides are released, which results in the bitter, unpleasant taste of the conditioner. If you don’t like it, you can choose flavoured hydrolysates. Hydrolysates are conditioners recommended especially for people who train very intensively and not only care about a nice figure, but also about fast muscle regeneration after a workout and better preparation for the next one.

Concentrates with high carbohydrate content

Another form of protein supplement is the WPC concentrate. It is most often chosen by people who are just starting their adventure with intense physical activity or who have just started building muscle mass. Its big advantage is its low price. It is made from cow’s milk whey in the process of micro- or ultrafiltration. Its absorption time, unlike the hydrolysate and isolate, is long – it is fully absorbed in about 2-4 hours after consumption. Concentrates usually have a high content of carbohydrates, namely milk sugar (lactose) and sucrose. This means that it is not a good source of protein for people who are lactose intolerant. In addition, due to the long absorption time, we need to consume whey protein concentrate between workouts; it also works well before bedtime. If you are looking for a quick portion of protein to be taken immediately after workouts, this won’t be the best option.

Casein – the best for the night

Recently, micellar casein (MC) is getting increasingly popular. Its protein content is comparable to that of whey protein concentrate – 100g of powder contains approx. 80g of protein. Casein is obtained from milk: it consists of ca. 80% milk protein fractions and 20% whey protein. Casein is used to make curd cheese, which is a well-known and popular cheese that takes a long time to digest – and so does casein. We eat it at night or when we have a long break between meals, at least 5 hours. During the day it is unlikely to happen, or at least it should not, as meals should be eaten regularly every 3-4 hours. Casein has a low fat and sugar content, which is the result of a complex process of its production – microfiltration, evaporation, and drying. It can be used by people intolerant to lactose because it contains only trace amounts of this sugar. However, you have to be careful with it then.

As there are many types of protein powders with properties and forms, we can choose the supplement that best suits our needs, goals, training plan and time of consumption. Immediately after training, we consume isolate or hydrolysate; a concentrate is to be taken between training sessions, and casein at bedtime.

The potential of Phenibut – Smart Drug or Curse ?!

March 18th, 2020

Introduction of Phenibut:

Also known as “4-Amino-3-Phenylbutyric Acid,” sold under the brand names Anvifen, Fenibut, and Noofen among others is a central nervous system depressant with anxiolytic effects.  It was synthesized in the 1960s in Russia where it is licensed for use in anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other health issues. Phenibut is a non-prescription pharmaceutical that is actually a GABA molecule with the addition of a phenyl group. Russian researchers discovered that by changing GABA into 4-Amino-3-Phenylbutyric Acid, it was able to cross more easily into the nervous system & across the blood-brain barrier. Since it is a GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, derivative, Phenibut increases GABA levels.

Phenibut  (beta-phenyl-gamma-aminobutyric acid HCl) is a neuropsychotropic, anxiolytic, and nootropic (cognition enhancing) effects drug that is actually a GABA molecule with the addition of a phenyl group. Russian researchers discovered that by changing GABA into 4-Amino-3-Phenylbutyric Acid, it was able to cross more easily into the nervous system & across the blood-brain barrier. It has anxiolytic and nootropic (cognition enhancing) effects. It acts as a GABA-mimetic, primarily at GABA(B) and, to some extent, at GABA(A) receptors. Since it is a GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, derivative, Phenibut increases GABA levels. It has also been proven that Phenibut raises the level of dopamine in the brain, which may result in improved mood and increased libido.  The results of the study indicate that Phenibut significantly improves the functioning of the brain, leading to the normalization of brain tissue metabolism, as well as modulating the blood flow in the central nervous system.

Phenibut is a white crystalline powder and the taste is very sour. It is readily soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, and the pH of a 2.5% water solution is between about 2.3 and 2.7.

Jack3d old DMAA version vs Jack3d DMAA + DMHA version.

May 2nd, 2020

What is the difference between the old-school Jack3d version Geranium and the new Jack3d DMAA + DMHA ??
The new version has been enriched with DMHA knows as dimethylhexylamine / 2-aminoisoheptane / 1,5-DMHA / 1,5-dimethylhexylamine /Octodrine.

DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine) is an amphetamine derivative that has been put into circulation in sports activities such as pre-workout and slimming products such as fat burners and appetite control, many of which are sold as dietary supplements. DMAA is not a dietary ingredient, and products containing DMAA are sold as dietary supplements Also known as methylhexanamine or geranium extract, DMAA is often touted as a “natural” stimulant. Although DMAA was once approved as a drug, it is no longer approved for and no medical use of DMAA is currently recognized. DMAA, especially when combined with other stimulant ingredients such as caffeine, can pose a health risk to consumers. Taking DMAA can raise your blood pressure and lead to cardiovascular problems, ranging from breathlessness and tightness in the chest to a heart attack.

DMHA 2-Aminoisoheptane (also known as dimethylhexylamine, octodrine, and other names) is a stimulant developed in the 1950s for use as an inhalant in the treatment of bronchitis, laryngitis, and other conditions. In recent years, it has appeared as an ingredient in dietary supplements. It is most commonly used in supplements marketed as thermogenics (fat burners) and pre-workout supplements due to its benefits as an appetite suppressant and energy enhancer. 2-Aminoisoheptane improves focus, memory and attention, increases pain threshold, and reduces perceived exertion rates. Long story short DMHA is a central nervous stimulant that increases the uptake of dopamine and noradrenaline. Its structure presents some similarities with that of other stimulants like AMP Citrate (DMBA), Ephedrine, and 1.3-DMMA. With DMAA and AMP Citrate already phasing or phased out of current supplements, this drug was brought back on market as an alternative in pre-workout and ‘fat-burner’ products in 2016. Octrodrine/DMHA was originally developed in the United States as an aerosolized treatment for bronchitis, laryngitis, and other conditions.

In addition, in the new Jack3d DMAA + DMHA we have a choice of amazing flavors such as Dragon Fruit, Rocket Pop, Watermelon, Fruit Punch, Pineapple.
